The pneumonia-like virus originated in Wuhan, China, and has been reported to cause fever, cough, shortness of breath, and even death. Currently, the worldwide death toll stands at 3,220 with 94,240 reported cases. It was announced easier this week that the U.S. will be implementing new screening procedures for travelers coming to the country.

But what is the real history of the coronavirus, its expected trajectory, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) response? And does Dr. Wakefield believe the virus is a threat to the American public?

Dr. Wakefield and Dr. McNamara will both be presenting at the upcoming AutismOne 2020 Conference.
