Over 40 sessions and panels will presented by some of the top names in the Drupal community, those we like to call the ROCK STARS of the community.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 17, 2011
The Southwest Drupal Summit 2011 held on January 27-28 is proud to announce a live question and answer session with Dries Buytaert and three free training sessions for all attendees to the already impressive lineup of speakers and events.
Drupal is a web content management framework that allows anyone to easily publish, manage and organize a wide variety of content on a website. Hundreds of thousands of people and organizations are using Drupal to power an endless variety of sites, but with the launch of Drupal 7, both new and veteran Drupal users have many questions. The Southwest Drupal Summit is a timely way to get the latest information and training. In addition to the keynote that will be given by Angela Byron, the Drupal 7 core maintainer, there will be an hour-long live question and answer session via streaming video where attendees can ask their questions about the future of Drupal directly with Drupal creator and project lead, Dries Buytaert.
The Summit emphasizes large-scale, enterprise-level Drupal successes and promotes the use of Drupal in the enterprise while educating attendees about Drupal design, development and business best practices. The conference has added three free hands-on training sessions and workshops for attendees. These sessions will range from a beginner's introduction to Drupal all the way to an advanced workshop on optimizing and troubleshooting an enterprise-level Drupal environment.
Rohit Anabheri, conference co-organizer, says "There are so many great reasons to attend the Southwest Drupal Summit. Over 40 sessions and panels will presented by some of the top names in the Drupal community, those we like to call the ROCK STARS of the community. For others, another reason is the opportunity to network with other individuals to solve shared problems. Of course, it is also a great resource for those who just want to learn more about Drupal and find out whether it's a good fit for their company or organization."
The Southwest Drupal Summit will feature an impeccable lineup of speakers, providing attendees the opportunity to hear from Drupal experts in areas of development, design and business strategy. Notable experts to speak include Narayan Newton, the scalability expert behind examiner.com; Jeff Walpole, CEO of Phase2 Technology; James Walker, Senior Services Architect at StatusNet; and Jim Ciampaglio, COO of NeoSpire Managed Hosting. The Southwest Drupal Summit will bring together Drupal experts, beginners and business leaders to share success stories, investigate new opportunities and gain insight on prominent enterprise-level Web application platforms.
The event will be held in Houston, TX, at the Magnolia Hotel. For more information and to register, visit http://www.swdrupalsummit.com.
