Dundas Data Visualization Ranks #2 of 25 in Wisdom of Crowds Mobile BI Market Study 2013
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- Today, Dundas Data Visualization (http://www.dundas.com) announces that it was ranked second of 25 in the Vendor Scores and Rankings survey in the Dresner Advisory Services 2013 Wisdom of Crowds® Computing/Mobile Study, with a total score of 21.7 out of a possible 36.5 points. Dundas was also ranked second on platform scores.
The Wisdom of Crowds Mobile BI Market Study was based on a survey that asked BI users to rank vendors’ mobile platform support and integration, customer ratings, and business intelligence features to form a total score. Platform and features were weighted based on user prioritizations.
The Dundas Mobile platform supports the top Business Intelligence features required for mobile, which the study found were “viewing charts or reports” and “data selection” respectively, which both ranked as critical or very important by over 95% of respondents. Dundas Mobile also supports “Drill down navigation”, “KPI monitoring”, and “Alerts”, which were considered critical or very important by 85% or more of respondents. Dundas Mobile is also supported on all major mobile and tablet devices.

The study found that the primary target for mobile BI is executives and middle managers, and that executives and sales and marketing functions are the most culturally prepared for mobile BI. The study highlights that these job roles have historically required mobile technology and time spent outside of the office, which Wisdom of Crowds indicates is the reason for their cultural preparedness.
