Sunbelt Midwest congratulates Ed Krajcir, on becoming MBBI Wisconsin Chapter President for 2013. The MBBI Wisconsin Chapter President serves for a one-year term overseeing the budget, event planning, strategic planning, and leads board meetings. The President builds an involved member community aimed at bringing together transaction professionals to serve business owners and share best practices. MBBI offers various educational seminars and schedules speakers who have expertise in issues critical to completing transactions. The group holds several member events throughout the year as well as some events that are open to the public and member guests.
On February 12, 2013, The MBBI held its first member event of the year at the Milwaukee Athletic Club. The heavily attended event “Sharpen your edge with new sales strategies” featured author Ryan Kubacki. All one hundred attendees received a signed copy of his book "The New Power Base Selling." In addition, the event provided attendees valuable insight on business valuation in today's economic climate and information about the new Affordable Care Act’s effect on small business transactions. The MBBI’s next scheduled event is April 30, 2013 at the BMO Institute for Learning located at 401 N Executive Dr, Brookfield, WI. This event will feature three speakers one of which is Marshal Goldsmith, an author and or co-editor of 32 books, including “What Got You Here Won’t Get You There” a New York Times best-seller, Wall Street Journal #1 Business Book and winner of Best Business Book of the Year.
“As a long time MBBI member, it’s an honor to serve as the Wisconsin Chapter President for 2013,” said Krajcir. “The year started strong and membership interest is growing. As President, I hope to encourage member involvement, share best practices, and plan networking opportunities that benefit our members and their clients. This is an inspiring and educational group that increases our industry’s credibility and visibility.”
Krajcir continued, “Members receive so many benefits including, education through keynote speakers discussing industry relevant topics, formal presentations, networking opportunities, ability to attend meetings and annual conferences and our featured private equity connections allow members’ access to private equity groups working on lower to middle market deals. MBBI is a marketplace for small to medium sized business deals in the Midwest; our members enhance the professional image of the mergers and acquisitions industry. We encourage collaboration to make deals happen. To re-enforce the importance placed on collaboration, awards are given for deal teams consisting of MBBI members who have worked together on a transaction.
