Elite Email, a world leader in email marketing solutions, has released a brand new infographic that outlines the overall process of getting started with email marketing. The graphic runs through the key steps that every organization should follow when adding email into their marketing mix.

According to the Direct Marketing Association, the ROI for email marketing is $40.56 for every dollar spent. This continues to make it one of the most effective forms of advertising from both a results and cost perspective. However, many organizations have not integrated email as part of their overall strategy because they do not know how to get started.

Elite Email has continued to experience rapid month-over-month growth as new businesses begin to adopt email marketing software as a tool in their arsenal, but many require a roadmap to really get going while following best practices.

“Many businesses know that sending email newsletters can be beneficial to help strengthen ties with their customers,” said Robert Burko, CEO of Elite Email. “We created this infographic so that at a quick glance anyone new to using an email marketing program can see what the first steps are and where that road leads.”

The three major steps in the small business email marketing process are building a permission-based opt-in mailing list, creating the email to send out, and then viewing reports to track subscriber engagement.

The email marketing infographic highlights some of the key ways an organization can build a mailing list to ensure organizations are following best practices and will not risk sending unsolicited email or spam. This is one of the most common questions for new businesses that are just getting started with email marketing because they don’t yet have a good mailing list, which is the foundation of any campaign. By following the steps in the infographic, an organization can get started on the right foot and begin taking steps towards email marketing success.

The infographic also includes some recent Elite Email research findings to help maximize results. This includes the best days to send an email campaign (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) as well as the best times (10:00am and 2:00pm).
