Abacus Solutions, a leading provider of IT infrastructure solutions, announced that they will be showcasing its next generation email archiving solution, Enterprise Managed Archive (EMA) at the upcoming Interop 2011 conference in Las Vegas on May 8-12.

EMA is the universal appliance that archives an organization’s digital records, ensuring that companies meet all legal requirements and guidelines. Instead of archiving emails as PST files on the desktop, EMA archives all documents and makes them available through one central archive. The EMA appliance has a wide range of archiving features including Voice to Archive, File to Archive, Print to Archive, Scan to Archive and Email to Archive, allowing users to cover the entire spectrum of digitally backing up and securely archiving business-relevant information.

“Most companies recognize the need for policies to regulate the archiving of business documents,” said Ken Snuggs, President and co-founder of Abacus Solutions. “EMA delivers a solution that manages all of these documents in an easy to manage, legally compliant device.”

EMA covers all pain points that a company faces when assessing a data and email archiving solution. EMA allows users to archive all records including emails, printed documents, and VoIP. The records are stored in a web accessible, completely secure appliance, and retrievable at a moment’s notice. Focus is not only put on legal compliance, but also on easy implementation and use, and on powerful search and recovery functionality. These benefits allow organizations to stay in control of their data at all times.

At Interop, Abacus will be hosting live demonstrations of EMA’s features including its newest capability, Global Search. The Global Search feature allows users to access the archived records across multiple EMA, including a parent company being able to search the records from different locations from the master appliance. This solution is perfect for companies with multiple branches.

Along with Artec’s EMA, one of Abacus’s storage partners, Nexsan, will be at Interop to discuss their storage solutions. EMA can be purchased as a stand-alone appliance or bundled with storage. Nexsan offers a cost-effective storage solution that compliments the EMA solution.

Abacus, Artec and Nexsan will be presenting at Interop Las Vegas on May 8-12, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. They will be located at Booth 650. Abacus senior engineers, Artec EMA product specialists, and Nexsan engineers will be on-site for live demonstrations.
