Emotional ABCs Now Free for Parents Everywhere

"Our step-by-step videos make learning the concepts simple and fun. Children watch our little monster, Moody, explain and use skills that can lead to a lifetime of emotional resilience." Cynthia Sikes, Chief Creative Officer

Emotional ABCs launches today a “Free for Parents’ edition of their powerful online Social Emotional Learning curriculum. With access to the full curriculum of child-friendly videos and corresponding printables, parents can now support their child’s social-emotional development with an engaging, sequential, at-home SEL program; this is the same curriculum being used by teachers at more than 55,000 schools nationwide.

Garnering dozens of awards since launching, including Common Sense Media’s Education 2019 “Top Pick for Learning,” the Emotional ABCs curriculum teaches targeted SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) concepts as identified by the leading national organization for Social-Emotional Learning, The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL).

“Even if a parent is not sure how to help their child develop stronger emotional skills, our step-by-step videos make the process simple and fun. Children watch our little monster, Moody, explain and use skills that can lead to a lifetime of emotional resilience,” says Cynthia Sikes, Chief Creative Officer.

Included in the Free for Parents edition are the complete set of child-friendly curriculum videos and over 60 corresponding printables. Each short video presents a single concept or skill. Then, the printables reinforce these lessons by enabling children to practice what they’ve learned about emotions and their own emotional responses. Other pieces of the Free Parent subscription include word searches, music clips, coloring pages, and playing cards.

About Emotional ABCs

Emotional ABCs is America’s #1 awarded Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program. The research-based online and in-class learning curriculum was created in conjunction with a team of psychologists, therapists, and educators to give every child the emotional skills for lifetime success. The program combines psychologists' and therapists' best techniques for working through emotions with a child-friendly, hands-on format. Several formats of Emotional ABCs have been developed to meet different needs, including Free and Premium Parent Subscriptions, and a Free-to-Teachers Emotional ABCs Classroom Subscription.

Premium Parent Subscription

Emotional ABCs Premium Parent Subscription is a more robust presentation of the Free Parent Emotional ABCs curriculum. The Premium subscription uses the same skill-building videos found in the Free Parent version but adds 100+ online and offline activities plus games and rewards that reinforce and expand these newly introduced skills. The Premium Parent subscription is divided into 10 Units, each with a set of Lessons, Rewards, and Certificates. Activities are varied to reach all types of learners and to maintain a child’s interest. The program is designed for easy, independent learning.

Emotional ABCs Classroom Subscription

Emotional ABCs Classroom is a Free-to-Teachers subscription that provides full-time teachers (K-3) at ‘brick-and-mortar’ public and private schools with 20 sequential Workshops, support materials, and an adaptable structure to teach blended Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons in a classroom setting. Emotional ABCs Classroom is currently used by teachers in more than 55,000 schools across the USA and takes advantage of both online and print materials to enhance the classroom experience.

The Common Sense Media's 2019 Education "Top Pick for Learning" award adds to Emotional ABCs' many accolades across a broad spectrum of categories. These include the National Association of American Publishers "Revere" Judges' Award, Tilliwig's "Brain Child" Award, Creative Child Magazine's "Product of the Year," and a "Great Find" Award from AblePlay.org, an organization that evaluates products for their effectiveness in teaching children who have learning differences.
