EvoApp Inc., a business intelligence and analytics firm based in the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina, today announced three additions to its senior management team. Christer Berg joins the company as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, Dr. Ives Chor joins as Senior Director of Product Management, and Pritam Kumar Das is the company’s new Director of Marketing and Partnerships. The new hires come on board as the company prepares to ramp up its social business intelligence and analytics solutions with a new financing round, expected in mid-2012.
As SVP of Business Development and Strategy, Mr. Berg will lead EvoApp’s strategic initiatives and technology partnerships as the company expands its new business intelligence offerings and ‘big data’ industry vertical solutions. Mr. Berg joins EvoApp from California-based business intelligence provider Emanio, where he led the company’s global sales operations. His career spans almost two decades and includes a number of executive leadership positions handling strategy, marketing and business development responsibilities at leading ERP and business intelligence providers including IFS, StreamServe and QlikTech Inc. He holds an M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the Linkoping Institute of Technology in Sweden.
Dr. Ives Chor will lead the company’s product development team, working closely with EvoApp founder Joe Davy, to bring the next generation of EvoApp social media and business intelligence solutions to market. Dr. Chor’s previous roles include CTO at music technology startup Zenph Sound Innovations, where he led research and development for the company’s music data applications, and Program Manager at Microsoft, where he was an integral part of the company’s Windows 98, Windows NT and Excel product teams. He holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
As EvoApp’s Director of Marketing and Partnerships, Pritam Kumar Das will manage the company’s marketing, customer acquisition and analyst relations programs. He has an extensive background in marketing analytics through stints at Universal McCann and Starcom MediaVest, where he led teams consulting with major financial services and CPG companies (including MasterCard, L’Oreal, Heinz and MTV/Nickelodeon) on marketing strategy and investments. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Devi Ahilya University in India and an MBA from Duke University.
