The Economy and Banks in Crisis

Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP will host the first of a series of webinars on the continuing global financial crisis, entitled "The Economy and Banks in Crisis," on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm EST.

Led by the Financial Services Task Force partners, Thomas Vartanian, Robert Schwenkel, David Ansell, Robert Ledig and Brian Mangino, the webinar will focus on the current economic situation, provide participants with an update on the issues and outline opportunities. The speakers will specifically address:

  • What is the state of play with TARP and what does it mean?
  • What are the prospects for public/private solutions?
  • What programs does the Fed offer and who can participate?
  • Where are the risks and opportunities for investors in financial institutions?
  • What are the new private equity structures for bank deals?

Fried Frank launched the Financial Services Task Force in September 2008 in order to address clients' needs by realigning the skills of its practice groups and the experience of Firm attorneys, both as former government officials and private practitioners.
