The GE Appliances Kitchen Hub is the first-of-its-kind integrated ventilation hood with a 27-inch interactive smart touch screen display. Designed to fit easily above a range or cooktop, the Kitchen Hub unleashes the power of cooking products while providing up to 600-CFM of ventilation. It comes enabled with built in Google Assistant allowing users to use their voice to preheat the oven, extend tumbling time on a dryer, check their calendar, respond to texts and more. It also integrates with The Flavorly app, a guided-cooking experience that comes with over 5000 recipes, and has two built-in cameras allowing for video-chat and streaming.
GE Appliances also expanded its offering of smart window air conditioners and was first to market new capabilities and controls like weather integration through the mobile app and geo-fencing to detect when customers leave and return home to automate control of the air conditioner and help reduce energy consumption while improving convenience. GE Appliances smart air conditioners also work with Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit and allow owners to easily set schedules for their air conditioners from the GE Appliances smart app.
The new GE Appliances Smart Water Whole Home Filtration and Softener systems were designed to provide a great ownership experience through easy installation, premium filtration or softening, and meaningful connected features. The GE Smart Water Whole Home Filtration and Softener systems not only provide better quality water throughout the home, but also enable owners to receive potential leak alerts, access details about their water systems, and perform remote water shutoff through the GE Appliances smart app, compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
Additionally, GE Appliances also launched its Scan-to-cook integration across its smart cooking portfolio. This capability was introduced on new GE Appliances built-in smart wall ovens as well as designed to be backwards compatible with some older smart cooking models.
