Georgia Health IT Companies Make the 2014 HCI 100 List

The 2014 HCI 100 list, which is published in the June issue of the magazine, recognizes the top 100 revenue-earning healthcare information technology companies in the industry.

Alpharetta-based McKesson Technology Solutions once again topped the HCI 100 list at #1, while other Georgia companies improved their ranking from the previous year like Med Assets Inc, Greenway Health, Brightree, Navicure and Surgical Information Systems.
“This ranking underscores Georgia's dedication to growing the HIT industry,” said Amanda Shailendra, director, life sciences, IT and corporate solutions at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. “With Georgia’s competitive business climate that includes a well-equipped workforce and critical mass of healthcare IT locations, our state is the ideal location for companies in this industry to grow and expand.”
The growth in revenues for Georgia’s HCI 100 companies mirrors growth trends in employment for the state’s Health IT sector. During the years of 2008-2013, Georgia's Health IT sector added 17.2 percent more technology workers according to TAG’s 2014 State of the Industry Report.
