Outings, Events and Special Packages Allow Attendees to Immerse Themselves in Bali’s Rich Spa and Wellness Culture

The Global Spa Summit (GSS), the premier annual event for spa and wellness industry leaders, today released a diverse menu of pre- and post-Summit experiences for delegates traveling to the conference in Bali, Indonesia, which will be held May 15-18.

With so many top industry executives traveling long distances to attend the Summit in Indonesia, this slate of outings, events and special packages is specifically designed to immerse attendees in Bali’s traditional and hyper-modern spa and wellness culture. Bali was recently named “the Asian Spa Capital,” and “the Best Island in the World,” and in the days before and after the conference delegates can opt to experience many of the island’s most innovative, extraordinary resort spas and wellness centers. This immersion in the host country’s indigenous spa and cultural scene has become a hallmark of each annual Summit.

Planned Events & Outings:

The Green School: A tour is planned to this world-renowned academic institution that pushes the boundaries for both education and sustainable design, which was founded by famous jewelry designer John Hardy. Powered entirely by clean resources (i.e., solar panels and hydro-powered generators), the extraordinary buildings are comprised entirely of bamboo. Mr. Hardy will also be attending and presenting at the GSS in Nusa Dua from May 15-18.

COMO Shambhala Estate and Uma Ubud: A pre-Summit three-night wellness stay at the exclusive COMO Shambhala Estate or a two-night yoga retreat at sister property Umu Ubud, have been combined with further post-Summit discounts of up to 20% off three-, five- and seven-night wellness packages. The Pre-Summit retreats (nearly sold out) are limited to a set number of delegates, and are expressly designed to extend networking and engagement opportunities beyond the formal conference.

W Retreat & Spa Bali, Seminyak: The 5th-annual GSS will conclude in the afternoon of May 18th with a champagne celebration. A post-Summit excursion to the brand new W Retreat, Bali, located in the nearby trendy enclave of Seminyak will follow. Attendees can explore the new AWAY Spa, while receiving discounts on spa services and cuisine.

Golf Tournament at Bali Golf & Country Club: Delegates can enjoy friendly competition and receive special rates and services at the Bali Golf & Country Club, one of the top ten courses in Asia, which has played host to myriad tournaments including the Dunhill Classic.
