GNS began by renting space in 1990 to prepare snack mixes. Over the years, it added roasting to its capabilities, then vertical form and fill packaging.
In 1993, it bought a nut candy manufacturing company specializing in southern nut candy and moved the candy operations to its plant in Arlington, Texas. The following year, the company purchased the building. GNS next invested in horizontal packaging equipment to improve the packaging from the previous company’s hand-wrapping operation.
In 2001, when one of its tenants vacated their space, GNS expanded into the adjacent space. In 2010, GNS purchased a nut and nut confections re-packer in Madeira, California, Pacific Gold, which was known for its upscale packaging that includes hand-tied bows and decorative touches. GNS moved the Madeira operations to its plant in Arlington, Texas.
