RE/MAX Balloon Program Looks Forward to Another Year of Educating & Entertaining

The RE/MAX Balloon Program, started in 1978, is gearing up for a great year of appearances.

Whether over a major freeway, a concert or festival, or in your local school’s parking lot, the RE/MAX hot air balloon has educated and entertained thousands of Texas residents for over 30 years. With over 100 hot air balloons, the RE/MAX fleet is the largest in the world. Throughout 2013, the balloon program will be appearing at events all over Texas.

The RE/MAX balloon program began in 1978 when executives were looking for a unique way to enhance recognition of the RE/MAX name beyond national competitors. Using the tag “Above the Crowd!®”, the balloon program became a huge success.

Today, the balloon program encompasses both promotional and educational initiatives. Promotional uses include appearances at sporting events, parades, music/art festivals, charity fundraisers and promotions, among many others.

RE/MAX’s Hot Air Balloon School Program has developed a “How Hot Air Rises” presentation for schools. The program, designed for elementary schools, explores Thermodynamic principals. Students learn about the science and history behind man’s first form of flight.
