Hondros College Announces Expansion of Online RN-BSN Completion Program and Enrollment for Fall Quarter
WESTERVILLE, Ohio (PRWEB) August 09, 2013 -- Hondros College formally announces the expansion of the college’s online RN-BSN completion program to Kentucky in time for fall quarter, which begins October 7, 2013.
Beginning in July 2013, Hondros College is licensed by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education to offer the online RN-BSN completion program. With the expansion, the online RN-BSN completion program is available to registered nurses (RNs) residing in Kentucky.
“With the online RN-BSN completion program’s expansion into Kentucky, we will be able to help more nursing students further their educational goals,” said Carol Thomas, President, Nursing Programs at Hondros College. “It is our goal to offer high-quality, advanced nursing education opportunities, so RNs can pursue advanced education and still maintain their work and family commitments.”
Introduced in 2011, Hondros College’s online RN-BSN completion program was created to meet the increasing demand for bachelor’s degree-prepared RNs who can provide advanced levels of care in diverse settings. The program offers a comprehensive nursing curriculum that is designed to accommodate working RNs who aspire to advance their education as full- or part-time students.
“As a full-time working nurse, wife, mother of three, and RN-BSN student, I am really pleased with the program’s flexibility and the one-on-one attention I receive from the staff,” said student, Michelle Perry. “The program gives me the ability to reach my educational goals by allowing me to continue to work full-time and continue my education online at my convenience.”

Hondros College remains competitive in the industry through the staff’s one-on-one dedication to students and economical pricing, set at $200 per credit hour for nursing courses. The online RN-BSN completion program consists of 185 credit hours. Full-time students can complete the curriculum in as little as 12 months, and opportunities are available for part-time students. Current RNs can enroll on a quarterly basis, providing the flexibility to further their education at their convenience.
Earlier this year, Hondros College’s online RN-BSN completion program was awarded programmatic accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Hondros College received a five-year grant of programmatic accreditation, the maximum duration for a grant of initial accreditation.
