Industry Leading VeinViewer Showcased at AVA 2018 Scientific Meeting
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (PRWEB) September 12, 2018 -- Christie® Medical Holdings, a global leader in near infrared vein finder technology, will be showcasing VeinViewer® Flex and VeinViewer Vision2 at AVA 2018 Scientific Meeting in the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, OH, Sept 15 -18.
Christie Medical Holding’s VeinViewer family of visualization products can change your experience and your patient outcomes. VeinViewer reduces the time needed for starting an IV catheter and improves first stick success rates. VeinViewer technology uses near infrared light to create a real-time HD image of the patient’s veins directly on the skin. VeinViewer lets clinicians see vein structures including valves and bifurcations, which aids in pre-stick decision making for the point of insertion in venipuncture procedures and can help avoid complications.
All patients benefit when VeinViewer is used to reduce first stick success, time to access, reduce central lines placed, and improve overall patient satisfaction. Christie believes that quality vein visualization is the key in vascular access to reducing complications, and improving the patient experience. VeinViewer visualization increases confidence in clinicians when they know they are delivering the very best care to patients and reducing the chance of a serious complication with every patient experience. Christie partners with VeinViewer customers by offering training and education experts to train staff clinicians using a variety of formats – web based and in-person.
In its recently released Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice, the Infusion Nursing Society mandates the use of vein visualization technology, including near infrared light technology, for patients with difficult venous access or after failed venipuncture attempts. Additionally, the INS recommends that vein visualization technology be used to increase success with peripheral cannulation and decrease the need for central venous access device insertion.
“VeinViewer is the only device of its kind clinically proven to improve the patient experience and impact the quality of care when inserting peripheral IVs,” said George Pinho, president, Christie Medical Holdings. “In light of the recently updated Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice by the INS that highlights the benefits of vein visualization technology, we’re excited to demonstrate VeinViewer at AVA 2018 Scientific Meeting so clinicians can see firsthand the positive impact our technology has on venous access and patient care.”
Christie Medical Holdings will be displaying VeinViewer at the AVA Annual Scientific Meeting at booth 603, from September 15-18. B.Braun Medical, Inc. is a distributor of VeinViewer.
