INTUITIVE® Named New Prime Contractor for Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Support to the Corrosion Program Office (COP)
Huntsville, Alabama (PRWEB) August 09, 2016 -- Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE) is proud to announce it is the new Prime contractor for support to the Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM) Corrosion Program Office (CPO) Nondestructive Testing (NDT) program mission. With this contract, INTUITIVE and its team members will provide Technical Services for the Aerospace Materials Function Nondestructive Testing Center of Excellence (CoE), Weapons Development and Integration (WDI) Directorate, AMRDEC. The Army’s NDT Program contains many facets that require technical and logistic expertise to successfully support Army Aviation operations. The focal point of the Army’s NDT program is the NDT CoE. The NDT effort has a five year performance period.
While this may be INTUITIVE’s first time to prime the Nondestructive Testing (NDT) task order, they are no strangers to the Corrosion Program Office and its operations. INTUITIVE has supported Corrosion efforts for the last 5 years, where they have established a reputation as a prime contractor with well-defined technical solutions and competitive costs. INTUITIVE’s management approach has been proven successful on other EXPRESS tasks with the Corrosion Program Office, which contributed to their receipt of this new award. This new award reflects the Corrosion Program Office’s trust that INTUITIVE will provide the highest quality, low risk solutions, both on-time and within budget.
INTUITIVE teamed with incumbent, Huddleston Technical Services to help meet the needs of the CPO NDT mission. Since the launch of the NDT CoE, Huddleston has played a key role in providing NDT engineering expertise, logistical support, and both classroom and on-site training to hundreds of Warfighters worldwide. Huddleston’s 13 years of experience with the NDT CoE organization coupled with INTUITIVE’s keen managerial skills is sure to exceed the expectations of the CPO.
