Even though the median sales price of homes for sale in Kingman, Arizona has decreased to about 10.5% as compared to a year ago, the market outlook remains positive. One third of Forbes' listings come from Arizona, making it a haven of sorts for bargain hunters. Cities that specialize in industries or offer many jobs can help ease the recession, according to Forbes.com. Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles and lots more have gradually emerged from the downturn and have projected growth in the next several years. Kingman looks forward to joining that list, as new businesses open on a regular basis. "It's a step in the right direction," says Kleefisch. "We have the infrastructure in place, which is a key building block to growth. It might take some time, but we hope we are currently seeing the indicators that we are slowly turning around, with a flurry of activity and contracts coming in during the past couple of weeks,” she adds.

With close proximity to urban areas like Flagstaff, Laughlin, and Las Vegas, as well as natural attractions like Lake Mohave, Lake Mead, Lake Havasu, all the way to the Grand Canyon West, Kingman is a desert community poised for major growth. Its almost perfect climate combined with scenic mountain views and clean air has made homebuyers of all types like families and retirees discover its charm.
