KoonsFuller is proud to announce that five of the firm’s associate attorneys have been promoted to partner. The five newly appointed partners are Neda Garrett, Laura Hayes, Taylor Imel, Chris Meuse, and Sally Pretorius, all of whom are Board-Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Neda Garrett has been widely recognized for her excellence as a family law attorney. She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in family law by Best Lawyers, LLC for the past three years, and selected for Best Lawyers under 40 by D Magazine for the past two years. This year, Neda was listed in Texas Rising Stars by Super Lawyers, and further honored to be selected for both their list of Up-and-Coming 50: 2018 Women Texas Rising Stars as well as the list of Up-and-Coming 100: 2018 Texas Rising Stars. She was also recognized this year as an Elite Lawyer by Elite Lawyer. Neda practices out of the firm’s Plano office after starting at the KoonsFuller Denton office in 2011.
Laura Hayes is licensed to practice law in four states: Texas, Arizona, Georgia and Florida. She is a graduate of the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and she is Board-Certified in Family Law. Earlier this year, Laura was recognized as an Elite Lawyer by Elite Lawyer and she was also named to the list of The Best Lawyers in America® in family law by Best Lawyers, LLC (2018). She has been an attorney in the firm’s Dallas office since 2012.
Taylor Imel joined the KoonsFuller Houston office in 2013 and she is Board-Certified in Family Law. This year, she was selected for Texas Rising Stars by Super Lawyers, as a Top Attorney by Houstonia Magazine and for Reviewit Magazine’s Top Lawyers. Taylor was also named one of Houston’s Top Lawyers by H Texas Magazine for three consecutive years. She obtained her juris doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
Chris Meuse is a Board-Certified family law attorney in the Plano office. Chris joined KoonsFuller in 2013. He has been honored as a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers for the past three years and was also recognized an Elite Lawyer by Elite Lawyer this year. Chris is a prolific author and was awarded the State Bar of Texas Star of Achievement Award for Best Series of Substantive Legal Articles. Chris graduated from law school at the University of Oklahoma.
Sally Pretorius has been with KoonsFuller in the firm’s Dallas office since 2014, and she is Board-Certified in Family Law. She has earned numerous honors for her work, including recognition on the Texas Super Lawyers list for the past four years, with the added honor of inclusion in their Top 50 Women Texas in 2018. She was also recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® in family law by Best Lawyers, LLC this year. Sally was selected for D Magazine’s Best Lawyers Under 40 in 2017 and 2018, and listed as an Elite Lawyer for 2018 by Elite Lawyer.
