Lab Manager's BootCamp 2013 | Pittcon

It's not just what you say; it's how you say it.

In face-to-face communication, body language accounts for more than two thirds of the impact of the message being conveyed. It is always more emotionally revealing and more emotionally accurate than what is said. One researcher claimed that in making a first impression, nonverbal communication is ten times more powerful than what is being said!

On Tuesday, March 19, 2013, Lab Manager Magazine’s BootCamp is coming to Pittcon.

At this year’s Lab Manager Bootcamp session with Bill Acheson, attendees will learn ways to enhance their own body language as well as how to understand the hidden messages sent by others. Special attention is given to how gender differences account for some forms of misunderstanding. Registration is free and space is limited; please register early to secure a spot!

We examine three key points:
1.    The Power of First Impressions
2.    Projecting Greater Personal Power
3.    Establishing Rapport
