Largest Fireworks Display Ever Held in Punta Gorda Made Possible by Generous Donation from Local Businesses
Punta Gorda, Florida (PRWEB) July 14, 2014 -- A few years ago, the city of Punta Gorda didn’t have funds to do an annual 4th of July fireworks show. In response to this, local air conditioning company, Grande Aire Services, along with Smugglers and a few other local companies came together to put on a family-friendly event in Punta Gorda as a donation to the city. This 4th Fest at Laishley Park became an annual tradition. This year, the 4th Fest at Laishley Park boasted the largest fireworks display ever held in the city of Punta Gorda, which was made possible because of a $15,000 contribution from Grande Aire Services. The Fest included shopping, water slides, live music, and of course the biggest fireworks show that’s ever been held in Southwest Florida.
4th Fest included an all-day celebration with bands such as Gator Nate & The Gladezmen, The Boogiemen Rock n Soul Revue entertained the crowds during the beautiful 4th of July day. After the fireworks, the talented Jack Michael and his band Drive 31 treated the crowd to a one-hour concert to finish off the festivities. Festival attendees had opportunities to shop various local vendors and support local businesses.
“We’re constantly trying to do good things for the community of Punta Gorda, and this fireworks show is one of our favorite events,” said Shannon Cellamare, marketing manager at Punta Gorda AC company Grande Aire Services.
Grande Aire Services hopes to continue their support of 4th Fest in upcoming years.
