Laser Research Optics has introduced a new line of fiber fused silica lenses for high-power lasers that are easier to install than returning the laser head to the manufacturer.

Lenses are offered in 1” and 2” sizes with 5” to 10” focal lengths and can be self-installed by the user.

These Fiber Fused Silica Lenses eliminate the need for major laser head disassembly and the delays associated with returning the laser head to the manufacturer for lens replacement.

LRO Fiber Fused Silica Lenses are offered in 1” and 2” sizes with 5” to 10” focal lengths and can be self-installed by the user. Eliminating the need for major laser head disassembly and delays associated with returning the laser head to the manufacturer for lens replacement, these 1 micron lenses are coated at 1.06 microns on both sides for lasers up to 10 kW.

Providing a light protective edge bevel on both edges, LRO Fiber Fused Silica Lenses have 1 fringe max. surface accuracy at 633 nm within clear aperture on both faces. Surface quality on both faces is 10-5 scratch-dig per MIL-PRF-13830. These fused silica lenses have an anti-reflective coating for less than 0.25% reflectance per surface at 1.080 microns.
