Law Department Desktop Services, LLC (“LDDS”) announces the completion of its A Round of venture funding from Inclusive Ventures (Millbrook, NY). LDDS provides corporate law departments with a secure, hosted platform for managing document collaboration, and other services from the corporation’s outside law firms. The ‘Desktop’ is hosted by Rackspace and runs on Microsoft SharePoint Server™ 2010. Currently, firms use the Desktop to interface with their outside law firms and more effectively manage their in-house tracking of legal matters and costs.

Forrest Morgan, Chairman and CEO of LDDS says, 'The A round will allow us to add additional staff and allow us to bring additional clients onto the Desktop including a pilot implementation of an Integrated Small Law Department Technology Model for Canam Steel which LDDS is working on in conjunction with LawPartnering, Inc.'

'Though there have been several well-publicized implementations of technology in corporate law departments,' says Forrest Morgan, 'still the cost for these implementations are beyond most corporate law departments. The Desktop is an 'off the shelf' service with ”turn key” implementation that is immediately available for corporate law departments and will save money.'
