LifeOmic Security, LLC (LifeOmic) today announced that the company is using Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) to accelerate the development of its JupiterOne cybersecurity solution, which helps software companies create and manage the security process from policy creation to compliance and certifications. LifeOmic is using Amazon Neptune along with other AWS services to ensure that JupiterOne will seamlessly and reliably scale moving forward. Amazon Neptune is a fast, reliable, fully-managed graph database engine optimized for storing billions of relationships and querying the graph with milliseconds latency from AWS.

“JupiterOne fills a key role in the market as cybersecurity, helping SaaS customers of all sizes develop, deploy, certify and maintain secure software,” said Erkang Zheng, Chief Information Security Officer at LifeOmic. “Using Amazon Neptune has enabled us to accelerate software development, reduce our operational costs and make connections in our datasets that immediately identify potential misconfigurations and security issues.”

“JupiterOne uses a graph to make connections between critical resources, making it easy for JupiterOne customers to ask the right questions and get the right answers quickly around security operations, analytics and compliance,” said Shawn Bice, Vice President, Non-Relational Databases, AWS. “Amazon Neptune is purpose-built to store and navigate relationships. It makes it easy for developers like LifeOmic to focus on what they do best, building and running applications that work with highly connected datasets.”

JupiterOne is built on AWS with source code control systems like Bitbucket and security controls such as Okta. JupiterOne is hosted on AWS and also uses many other AWS services including AWS Lambda, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Cognito, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Kinesis and Amazon Elasticsearch Service.

JupiterOne expedites audits such as HITRUST, SOC2, PCI, ISO27001 and NIST by assisting companies in creating and automating their security policies, processes and controls. It also makes providing evidence for controls easy. Customers have reported both a decrease in the number of personnel needed to support audits as well as a decrease in the time to achieve the compliance or certification. JupiterOne’s Policy Builder creates and manages proven security policies with a wizard-like process that streamlines compliance and certification audits as well as customer security reviews.

“As a high growth company, our team is busy developing new product features, yet security must be a priority, not an afterthought," said Ethan Bechtel, CEO of OhMD. "JupiterOne gives our team a unified view of our cloud environments to help us develop secure software and meet our compliance requirements. Its capabilities on integrated resource discovery, automation, graph visualization and analysis have enabled us to be proactive around identifying security issues, with minimal operational overhead. Additionally, JupiterOne has scaled seamlessly as our platform continues to grow in size and complexity.”
