It’s easy for family-run businesses to get complacent and be content with the status quo, but that wasn’t quite enough for the team at Andrew James – they wanted to take their top-quality service to the next level and make sure the meat they supply gets the treatment it deserves before it hits the table. At a time when the quality of meat is under intense scrutiny, the good, as they say, will out.
So where is the most fervent demand for the highest quality meat? At some of the best restaurants in the UK, where top chefs ply their trade and want only the best for their patrons. That’s why Andrew James approached Harvey Nichols, Smiths of Smithfield and chefs at the top of their game, including Tom Aiken, Ben Bulger (Head Chef at The Magdalen Chapter in Exeter) and Stuart Downie (South Sands Hotel in Salcombe), to collaborate on new dishes for their menus.
Of course, attracting those prestigious partners demands the right image, which is where the creative team at Logo Design came in. The butcher realised that only a strong new marketing concept could put it in a position to deal with those famous names.
The team at Logo Design got to work on devising a new strategy to prepare the Andrew James brand for an exciting future. This involved creating a detailed brief about the business, the market and the service during productive sessions with the Andrew James team.
Once the brief was complete, the designers began to draw up plans for a new logo and a new branding strategy, before turning their attention to applications like business cards, correspondence materials and a brand new website reflecting the new direction of the company. A new star of fine dining was born.
