Far North Queensland and Mackay website professionals, Snap Easy Websites, have encouraged local businesses to put their best virtual foot forward for the Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition, being held in Mackay in July 2012. The result has been a rush for new and improved websites, but the clock is now ticking to get a great website up in time for the expo.

The Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition (QME) is held every two years and provides buyers, industry professionals and suppliers to come together to support the concept of ‘better mining’. The Snap Easy Websites team believes that suppliers who are able to showcase their products and services online, have a much better chance of tapping into this lucrative market.

Snap Easy Websites have, over the last few months, been urging local businesses to establish, or improve, their online presence, in preparation for the QME. Many have taken this advice and now have Mackay websites that demonstrate or explain how their goods or services can benefit the mining companies, and the staff who work within them.

“While it can be challenging for suppliers and manufacturers to convey detailed product information at an expo, a well constructed website can serve as an online catalogue - one that works 24/7/365” said Snap Easy’s Cheryl Eagers. “And having a quality, professional online presence allows even the smallest business to compete on a level playing field with bigger competitors.”

“This event comes around only every two years, and businesses in Mackay, Cairns, Townsville and elsewhere in Far North Queensland who want to profit by being a part of the mining boom, should call us about getting online before it kicks off on July 24” said Ms Eagers. “Looking at our current schedule, I believe we will be able to accommodate three new FNQ or Mackay websites in the lead up to the Expo.”

About Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition (QME)

Since the first edition in 1993, QME has grown to become the leading industrial exhibition in central Queensland. Ideally timed during a period of unprecedented growth in Queensland's mining industry, QME 2010 was considered by the majority of its record 500 exhibitors and over 10,000 high quality professional visitors, to be the most impressive edition yet.

QME has become an important biennial event for all buyers, specifiers and industry professionals to come together to catch up on the latest products and technologies, keep abreast of industry trends and network with industry colleagues in a vibrant business environment.

About Snap Easy Websites

Snap Easy Websites is a provider of a range of online marketing services to businesses of all sizes.

David Phillps and Cheryl Eagers formally established Snap Easy in 2011.  What sets them apart from many website providers is that David and Cheryl are business people, who have established and run successful small and medium enterprises (SMEs). They know how business works, and understand the financial and staffing constraints under which they operate.

In fact, it was through the frustration (and massive overcharging) involved in having someone create a website for one of their businesses that made them realise that only people who understand business could deliver effective and appropriate online services for other businesses.

Over the next few years they learned from the best of the best in areas of website design, search engine optimisation, social media marketing and website content creation. And they learned how, by engaging experts in each niche, they are able to pull the whole thing together for their clients – without all the tech-talk, and always with a eye on the bottom line.
