Ruler feature on MedCAD's new iPad app
Surgeons can finalize their plans, approve them, and receive a final report—all in one place, on their own time.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) November 13, 2012
MedCAD, a subsidiary of VanDuzen, Inc., is proud to announce the release of its revolutionary AccuPlan™ app for iPad.
The surgical planning app allows cranio-maxillofacial and neurosurgeons to see a digital 3D rendering of case plans and to make final adjustments using slider tools. Surgeons can finalize their plans, approve them, and receive a final report—all in one place, on their own time.
Other surgical planning apps permit viewing existing surgical plans, but AccuPlan™ is the only one that allows surgeons to make adjustments to a plan. Now surgeons can do more than simply view patient data: they can make modifications, review “What If” scenarios, and approve final adjustments using highly detailed 3D digital models built from individual patient data and planning input.
Using the AccuPlan app, surgeons can also submit for manufacture dental wafers for orthognathic cases, PEEK cranial implants, or anatomical models—all custom made, designed and built using CT scans.
A MedCAD biomedical engineer is assigned to each individual case. Surgeons can leave comments on a case or schedule an appointment via phone or GoToMeeting™ with their biomedical engineer anytime using the built in calendar.
MedCAD specializes in custom surgical planning and custom cranial implant design and fabrication for orthognathic and neurosurgical cases. The AccuPlan™ app is a natural extension of the efficient, medically accurate and highly detailed work MedCAD provides its surgeons every day.
