Medieval Times Helps Soldier with Surprise Homecoming Petty Officer 2nd Class Steve Hallock will Spend the Holidays at Home
Schaumburg, Illinois (PRWEB) December 16, 2014 -- Wearing a knight’s helmet and cape over his uniform, BU2 Hallock stood behind his boys as King Don Carlos of Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament knighted them. Once they were properly knighted the Lord Chancellor requested Hallock to reveal himself. After removing his costume, he tapped his boys on the shoulder to get their attention. To say the least, the boys were stunned. And very happy to see their father.
“I am so grateful to Medieval Times for making this such a spectacular experience,” says Hallock. “This is something that we will always remember. I am so happy to be home with my boys and the rest of my family for the holidays.”
“We are delighted he wanted us to be part of this,” says Sandy Maldonado-Martinez, Marketing Director of Medieval Times. “Seeing the look on the boys’ faces made everyone at the castle – both visitors and employees thrilled to be part of the experience.”
The sword the king used to knight the boys was a special one, engraved with Hallock’s name and formally presented to him at the end of the ceremony. In return, Hallock presented the king and Castle with an American flag that was with him in Afghanistan. It was an event rich with emotion and celebration.
