Florida-based company Merchant Data Systems has begun offering services in the state of Texas. What Merchant Data Systems (MDS) does is work with credit card processing companies to provide sellers with the means to process and accept credit cards, whether that be on physical credit card machines or digitally, giving their customers more choices when buying a product and increasing store sales. MDS provides tools such as card readers for in-store sales and online checkout options for digital storefronts. Using the latest version of HTML, HTML 5, MDS is able to provide services like payment gateways that allow merchants to accept credit card payments over the web via a personalized IP address. They also provide financing for their equipment, gift card and loyalty card programs, online merchant accounts for ease of management, mobile credit card processing, and electronic check processing.
MDS has recently partnered in a joint venture with an internet marketing company called Karma Snack, which specializes in things like search engine optimization and ecommerce shopping carts. Both companies are hoping that this pairing will help their clients drive sales higher by offering more credit card merchant accounts than ever. This partnership has given the company the opportunity to grow and expand its services across the United States, including Texas; Merchant Data Services is now also a Texas merchant service.
MDS also offers the technology to utilize mobile phones to pay for purchases, and not just through a smartphone's online browser. With a new technology called ROAMpay, an easy-to-use device plugs into your smart phone and allows you to swipe your credit card right there. This service works with all major cell phone carriers, not just the newest and most modern. It can work with your current cellular data plan, or you can pay as you go, per swipe, for the data that you use. This service is secure, as the device encrypts your data before it is sent from the phone, and there is no personal information left behind. The included web interface also lets the user access their ROAMpay information from a desktop or laptop computer.
In the same vein as the ROAMpay application, MDS is utilizing new wireless networks that allow payments to be processed by businesses that may not have a traditional location, but still has customers that need to be able to use their credit cards on-site, like a major sports game or carnival.
