It’s been an absolute honor for Mrs. Fields to be a part of important moments in our customers’ lives all these years.
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) April 16, 2012
Mrs. Fields is celebrating something sweet this year, and it’s not just their signature chocolate chip cookies. What began as a one-woman storefront in Palo Alto, California in 1977 has grown into a world-renowned franchise that is celebrating 35 years of successful business.
“Our founder Debbi Fields was quoted saying; ‘I am not in the business of selling cookies, but instead in the business of selling smiles,’” said the director of marketing at Mrs. Fields, Cassie Alvey. “Our brand holds onto that iconic phrase today.”
When Debbi Fields opened the first Mrs. Fields store she could be found walking around outside her storefront, putting smiles on the faces of those who passed by her shop by giving away warm cookies. This led to a loyal customer base that would return again and again for Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookies.
Mrs. Fields became very successful while remaining true to the original mission of creating the highest quality product possible- every time. In 1990, Mrs. Fields began franchising so people from around the country and world could enjoy the taste sensation. Mrs. Fields now has 250 U.S. locations and 97 international stores in 23 countries.
“It seems like everyone has a Mrs. Fields memory,” Alvey said. “Whether it was the first time they tried baking from one of Debbi’s cook books with their mother or grandmother or visited the store for their first mouth watering cookie.”
In the past 35 years Mrs. Fields has expanded beyond offering just cookies. Mrs. Fields now offers giant cookie cakes, brownies, birthday gift baskets and anniversary gifts. Mrs. Fields unique flavors are found in licensed products like Bryers Ice Cream or Maxfields Candy. Signature cookies can also be found at convenient grocery stores and malls across the country.
“We bake the gourmet cookies and brownies people crave, the delectable gifts they give to celebrate birthdays and holidays, the delicious goodies they send to show love, care, and support,” Alvey said. “It’s been an absolute honor for Mrs. Fields to be a part of important moments in our customers’ lives all these years.”
The dedicated employees at Mrs. Fields will continue to look for innovative ways to serve their loyal customer base and a new generation of customers for the next 35 years.
