Myrtle Beach Golf Industry Still in the Green

Despite the local newspapers and some hoteliers' complaints of slow vacation reservations, CondoLux of North Myrtle Beach is looking to have a banner year in 2009 for both golf and vacation reservations.

Golfers like the luxury beach house packages because large groups can share the rental expense and save money - not to mention a great 'male bonding' experience for the group

The golf department at CondoLux usually doesn't hit the high numbers so early in the year. But only 3 full months into 2009, and they have already seen a significant increase of booked golf rounds, much higher than last year at this time. Vacation bookings are up by about 10% as well.

Martin Brown, VP of Operations, attributes the change to a few factors: the new lower rates for the 2009 season for their oceanfront condos and large vacation beach homes, cheaper airfares, and the new Condolux office in Myrtle Beach, bringing golfers closer to the south end courses.

"Golfers like the luxury beach house packages because large groups can share the rental expense and save money - not to mention a great 'male bonding' experience for the group", Brown says with a smile. Being an avid golfer himself, he knows first-hand what makes a perfect Myrtle Beach golf vacation, and provides it to the customers.

Golf Director Craig Chinn also stays on top of the local course specials and makes sure they offer the best discounts available for the golf packages. Craig pens several popular Myrtle Beach golf blogs, and participates with Brown in many of the charity tournaments. He lives and breathes for the game.

Another factor that is helping with spring golf tourism is the fact that Direct Air and Spirit Airlines are offering direct flights to Myrtle Beach from many northern cities. Many times a golfer can take off in the early morning and be on the greens by lunchtime or shortly after. With daytime temperatures in the 70's during much of the spring, mid-day tee-times are perfect.

CondoLux also offers an amazing golf package discount on luxury condos at their affiliated Malibu Pointe Beach Club. Across the street from the ocean and brand new, there are few rental companies at the beach who can beat a deal with these excellent accommodations.

Traditionally offering resorts in North Myrtle Beach, 2009 has seen the company expand to a new office in Myrtle Beach proper, with condo rentals available in Ocean Forest, Paradise Resort, Margate at Kingston Plantation, and many other downtown and south end resort favorites. Golfers can now enjoy Willbrook Plantation, Caledonia, Litchfield Plantation, Grande Dunes, and other "southern" golf courses with less driving distance. Myrtle Beach also offers entertainment and live theatres such as Carolina Opry, Legends at the Beach, and the Palace Theatre; as well as Broadway at the Beach and the Coastal Grand Mall shopping complexes.

Myrtle Beach golf package information can be found on their comprehensive golf website, the well-known Condolux website, or the new Myrtle Beach Condo Rentals website. The golf and vacation industry in Myrtle Beach is thriving for the companies that offer the best deals, and CondoLux stays on top of the game year after year.

Myrtle Beach real estate sales have also increased dramatically for the new year, and prices for homes in Myrtle Beach will be rising to meet the summer tourism market. Anyone who is interested in purchasing property on the Grand Strand may qualify for the free vacation offer with the real estate department. This offer will only last a few more weeks, so buyers should inquire immediately.

Myrtle Beach, SC is still the 'Golf Capital of the World', and Condolux Vacations are simply the best in Myrtle Beach.
