National Security Insider, Booming Field Activity Help Produce Strong DUG East Conference Attendance
Houston, TX (PRWEB) June 05, 2014 -- More than 3,200 attendees and 321 exhibitors participated in once again making the DUG East conference and exhibition a success this week at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The conference offered in-depth presentations from executives who lead many of the top operators in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays.

The oil and gas experts who addressed the conference included top management from CONSOL Energy, Magnum Resources, Stone Energy, Anadarko and Talisman Energy USA. The closing keynote speaker, Rice Energy CEO Daniel J. Rice IV, provided details about how Rice, which controls 90,000 net acres across the Marcellus and Utica plays, is drilling and completing many of the region’s best-producing wells.
As an added attraction, former CIA Director Leon Panetta shared firsthand accounts of his White House experiences as the conference’s keynote luncheon speaker on Wednesday.
In response to requests, the DUG East conference was staged earlier this year (in June v. November). The warmer weather facilitated more interaction among sponsors, exhibitors and conference delegates. Attendees already are planning for next year’s DUG East conference, set for June 23-25, 2015, in Pittsburgh’s David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
The next edition of Hart Energy’s 2014 DUG series will take place in the southern hemisphere -- the 2nd annual DUG Australia conference and exhibition, August 26-28, 2014, in Brisbane, Queensland.
