Nearshore Executive Alliance Announces Collaboration with Business Council for Peace
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) May 14, 2014 -- The Nearshore Executive Alliance (NEA), trade association for the nearshore IT/BPO industry, is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Business Council for Peace (Bpeace), a New York based non-profit that works with entrepreneurs in conflict-affected countries around the world to help them create sustainable employment.
Through its member companies, the NEA is participating in the Bpeace Executive Business Exchange (BEBE) program. BEBE is a corporate entrepreneurship program supported by the U.S. Department of State. In operation since 2002, Bpeace promotes the role of business in peace-building through innovation, leadership diversity, jobs, and global business collaboration.
“A key part of our mission at the NEA is to help advance nearshore service providers and to drive sustainable economic, business, social, and human rights growth in the region,” said Rebeca Hassan, NEA Executive Director, “When we learned about the BEBE program, we immediately recognized the opportunity to create synergies and invited our member companies to take part in this initiative.”
NEA member organizations CI&T and Unosquare will each host an executive from the El Salvador based company Tech Americas. For the one-week visit, each company has developed an in-depth agenda to meet the program’s learning outcomes.

In the fall of 2014, Bpeace will select another exchange executive to benefit from the BEBE program. The Nearshore Executive Alliance looks forward to cooperating with this initiative again and to help identifying relevant host companies for the program.
