NYSSA Conference Features Emerging Life Sciences Companies

Executives from small- and mid-cap life sciences companies to give presentations on products and developments to investor audience.

Senior executives from publicly traded life sciences companies will present and provide an update about their business, pipelines, and future plans at the New York Society of Security Analysts’ Life Sciences Conference on November 29, 2012.

Yigal Nochomovitz, PhD, vice president of biotech equity research at Morgan Stanley, will give an overview/outlook of the sector, centered on a discussion of key market themes for emerging small- and mid-cap companies developing new drugs, devices, and technologies.

A select group of presenting companies will introduce the investor to their pipeline of products, candidates, and market opportunities for their drugs and/or devices. This small- and mid-cap group of emerging companies will discuss the cycle of product development, partnership for product distribution, and how possible merger or acquisition can develop in some cases.

Amorfix Life Sciences, Ltd, an emerging biopharmaceutical development company focused on novel diagnostics and antibody therapeutics for the treatment of misfolded protein diseases

DARA BioSciences, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of oncology treatment and supportive care products

EnWave Corporation, developer of proprietary dehydration technology to replace lyophilisation in the pharmaceutical space

GenSpera, Inc., an oncology company focused on delivering and activating its potent and patented drug within tumors utilizing a pro-drug delivery system

MiMedx Group, an integrated developer, manufacturer, and marketer of patent-protected regenerative biomaterial products and bioimplants processed from human amniotic membrane

NeoStem, Inc, a rapidly emerging leader in the fast growing cell therapy market

Oculus Innovative Sciences, Inc., a commercial healthcare company that designs, produces, and markets innovative, safe and effective drugs and devices

OncoSec Medical, Inc., a biotech company developing treatments for advanced-stage skin cancer

Provectus Pharmaceuticals, Inc, a pharmaceutical company specializing in developing oncology and dermatology therapies

Targeted Medical Pharma, a specialty pharmaceutical company that develops and sells prescription medical foods and generic/branded pharmaceuticals
