OBX Media Announces the Highly Anticipated Launch of the Outer Banks Distilling Website
Manteo, North Carolina (PRWEB) June 04, 2014 -- Outer Banks Media, a nationwide internet marketing, advertising, web design and development firm, has launched the inaugural Outer Banks Distilling website, bringing the locally owned business one step closer to opening their doors this summer.
Outer Banks Distilling is the first distillery located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Located in historic downtown Manteo on Roanoke Island, Outer Banks Distilling will offer their flagship liquor, Kill Devil Rum. Outer Banks Distilling will offer Kill Devil Rum tastings and tours of the distilling facility in the late Summer and early Fall of 2014. Kill Devil Rum will be for sale in local Outer Banks Restaurants and by the bottle, in North Carolina ABC Liquor stores.
Outer Banks Distilling started with the founders’ dream to bring the tradition of Rum back to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where so much history is deeply rooted with pirates and World War II.
“Over the course of many sessions spent sipping rum and talking shop, we came to the conclusion that starting a craft distillery on the Outer Banks made a lot of sense. Out of all the spirits that can be distilled, we came to the realization that rum is a distiller’s dream, because of the incredible variety of rum that can be produced, white, gold, spiced, and aged rums just to name a few. Expect to see big things in the coming months as we turn our dream into reality. The Outer Banks is steeped in rum history and pirate legend, and we want to keep the spirit alive,” said Kelly Bray, an Outer Banks local and native, one of the four co-founders of the Outer Banks Distillery.
