Internal communication can be easy to overlook
OSHKOSH, Wis. (PRWEB) October 23, 2008
A recent Ponemon Institute survey for Microsoft added to the recommendations found in the Blue PaperSM. The survey showed that 29 percent of companies who said to have good internal collaboration reported only one or more significant data breaches compared to the 74 percent of companies that admitted to poor internal collaboration between security, marketing and privacy managers.
Operation Communication: Harnessing the power of strategic internal communication planning recommends establishing goals at the onset of the process, then doing a comprehensive audit of existing internal communications, followed by implementation of the goals and aligned communication channels.
"Internal communication can be easy to overlook," says Greg Ebel vice president of sales & marketing at 4imprint. "However, if a business' internal customers are informed and knowledgeable of the situation - that can positively impact external customers."
