The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency is stringent with respect to the information which must be provided in support of an application for a US Entry Waiver. For individuals with an existing criminal record related to an offence against the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, applicants are required to provide verifiable evidence that there is no current abuse of controlled substances. The CBP requires either a copy of a drug screening test result or a letter from a Physician in support of the U.S. Entry Waiver application.
The CBP states, individuals applying for a U.S. Entry Waiver with a narcotics conviction “will need to provide evidence of treatment/rehabilitation.
