Partially Blinded Disabled Service Veteran Denied Defense Contract, by Pete Allman- Live Streamers.com
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 -- Dennis Matthews, an African- American who is a former U.S. Marine, has been denied a defense contact bid by The U. S. Army Space and Missile Command/ Army Forces Strategic Command in Huntsville, Alabama.
Matthews, a recipient of two letter of Appreciation and Service Deployment Ribbon from the United States Marine Core, was denied the contract bid as demonstrated in the attached letter for Domain 2 of the D3 I [Weapons of Mass Destruction] partially due to the font size type in the contract bid.
Under Domain 2, a portion of federal contracts set up for Disabled Veterans, does not have a provision for the blind Disabled Veteran.
Matthews also helped start FAR [Federal Acquisition Requirement] 108-183 bill which requires federal agencies to give a minimum 3% of the federal contracts to US Service Veterans.
Dennis Matthews is the CEO of LCE Newport Beach It Inc. and Global Communications Contractors LLC. His company has successfully completed over 20 government contracts during the last twenty years including contracts for the Federal Aviation Administration, Pentagon, Langley Agency, U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, and The Environmental Protection Agency.
Matthews protested the contract bid denied to his company for Domain 2 of the D3I.
Matthews goal was to create 5,000 jobs in Nevada for this contract with The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command.
Currently the US Army and Space Missile Command in Huntsville, Alabama have not met the goal of 3% of the federal contracts due to Service Veterans.
