Digital Sports Group today announced that The PFA Facebook fan page of Patrice Evra has broken the 15% daily growth barrier making it the fastest growing Patrice Evra page on Facebook. The Facebook page has become a thriving hub for the Manchester United defender since it's launch and now boasts a vibrant and rapidly growing community of fans. The Facebook page along with Patrice Evra player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.
A defender currently playing for Manchester United.
He has matured into one of the finest left backs in the game since his arrival from AS Monaco in 2006, playing a significant part in the Red Devils’ recent glittering trophy haul and producing the best form of his career whilst being practically ever-present for the Reds over the past five years.
Originally a forward, Patrice came through the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain before enjoying spells in Italy with lower league sides Marsala and Monza.
It was only after a move back to France with Nice that his career really took off however, thanks largely to an injury-enforced switch to left back which soon became permanent after a run of fine performances that saw him soon catch the eye of Monaco.
Patrice’s career continued to blossom in the principality, with the club’s run to the 2005 Champions League final showcasing his potential and earning him a move to Old Trafford the following January.
Naturally attacking and blessed with terrific pace and dribbling ability, Patrice was already a constant threat going forward, but has also developed into an accomplished defender since arriving in the more physically-demanding Premier League and has been first-choice for the Reds since displacing Gabriel Heinze during the 2006-07 season.
Patrice made his debut for France in 2004, and currently has 42 caps, most recently appearing against England at the European Championships in June 2012.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say, “Patrice Evra really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Manchester United this season and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.”
