“Clients of BUE can sometimes realize savings from 10% to 20% over a two-year term by switching to an alternative supplier,” says Jamie Paulson, Energy Commodities Analyst and Certified Energy Procurement Professional for BidURenergy.
Buffalo, NY (PRWEB) March 18, 2013
Early this week, energy consulting firm BidURenergy (BUE), announced that it has completed its analysis of market trends for customers of certain Pennsylvania utilities. The firm warns customers of Pennsylvania Power & Light (PPL) that the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission has approved a default service procurement plan for the two-year period starting June 1, 2013. This plan is approved for customers that do not choose a supplier and let the utility purchase their electric supply for them.
Included in the rate changes is an approved rate increase for customers receiving their generation service from PPL Electric Utilities. The approved rate change is expected to result in a one percent increase in the total monthly bill of small business customers using 1,000 kWh per month and on the PPL Electric Utilities default service plan.
BUE also warns PPL customers of the consequences of using default procurement service during the two-year period. Small commercial customers are faced with a fixed rate, while large commercial and industrial customers are subject to the hourly-price of electricity for the entire two-year period. The structures of these plans prevent many Pennsylvania customers from effectively managing their firm’s energy costs.
BidURenergy has already helped many clients in Pennsylvania and is announcing it is opening its doors to help new clients in the state find energy cost savings by procuring their energy from an alternative supplier. BUE employs energy market analysts, who use BUE’s state-of-the-art PriceWatch™ software to compare bids from many reliable suppliers.
“BUE has powerful software that their professional analysts use to make great recommendations and to help clients form an energy management plan to produce significant energy-cost savings in the long-term. Clients of BUE can sometimes realize savings from 10% to 20% over a two-year term by switching to an alternative supplier,” says Jamie Paulson, Energy Commodities Analyst and Certified Energy Procurement Professional for BidURenergy.
The firm encourages all, especially large commercial and industrial, PPL customers to contact a BidURenergy consultant today before the approved rate plan goes into effect. Clients of the firm are attended to personally, so the consultant can create a customized energy management plan that considers the needs of each client.
