People 55 and over puzzle out their future as they get older in this new short story collection
Carolyn Gaye uses a 'fun and upbeat' tone to present various accounts in 'Older than My Boss'
WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Dec. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This book is for old people, anyone who knows old people, or anyone who contemplates becoming old, according to author Carolyn Gaye. Her new short story collection "Older than My Boss: A Collection of Short Stories about Old People on the Verge of Making a Change" (published by Archway Publishing) tells the stories of men and women at a crossroads of age, purpose and unknown fate.
The gathered narratives are about older men and women who are poised at life-changing crossroads, giving readers a chance to wonder about the path they will choose. The people in the stories have entered into a new territory of life where the terrain is unfamiliar and the choices aren't always clear. With a wide variety of personalities and situations in the book, they all find a way forward.
Seeking to write in a "fun and upbeat" manner, Gaye hopes that her aim of "gravitas along with a positive outlook" gives readers a book that they enjoy and feel good about after reading.
