He also has a long track record of partnering with the investment team at Arle over the past eight years, where his expertise has contributed to impressive returns for investors. These include his role as CEO of Vetco International and Executive Chairman of Aibel (realised via respective sales to GE and Ferd in 2007), and Chairman roles at Global Oilfield Services (successfully sold in 2011 to Halliburton) and Capital Safety Group, which was sold to KKR in 2012. Dr. Peter Goode said: "It is a great time to be investing in the oilfield and I am excited to be joining the Arle partnership and to have the opportunity to work again with the Energy & Natural Resources team who have an impressive track record in the sector."

Commenting on the appointment, John Arney, Managing Partner of Arle said:

"We have enjoyed a very fruitful partnership with Peter over the last eight years and we are looking forward to many more years of successfully investing together in the Energy & Natural Resources sector. Peter has the rare combination of a deep technical understanding of the oil and gas sector, with many years of global operating and leadership experience of sizeable public and private equity-owned energy related businesses.

“To date we have worked together on five energy buy-outs, four of which have been successfully exited and we have exciting plans for Peter to play an active role in several new energy related buy-outs. In addition Peter’s appointment will complete the composition of Arle’s Operating Review Board through which he will also make a tremendous contribution."
