Pocket Nurse® named Eric M. Bordenstein Senior Vice President of Operations on Tuesday. Bordenstein will begin on July 29, 2019. He joins Pocket Nurse from Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. where he worked in International Logistics and Customs Compliance.
Bordenstein boasts over 20 years of experience in inventory planning and management, process improvement, and senior leadership at large corporations like CVS Health and Staples.
“I am excited and humbled to join such a great team supporting our nursing and medical professionals,” said Bordenstein. “I look forward to contributing my experience to Pocket Nurse’s upward trajectory for continued growth.”
“The Senior Vice President of Operations role has a rich history of driving industry-best operational performance,” said Vice President of Human Resources Alma Brandenburg, SPHR. “We believe Mr. Bordenstein’s extensive experience in margin management, cost containment, and vendor negotiations will go a long way in supporting Pocket Nurse’s business goals.”
Bordenstein is considered a change agent. “Bordenstein has ideas we believe will drive continued success at Pocket Nurse,” said President and Founder Anthony Battaglia, MS, BSN, RN. “We look forward to having his seasoned perspective.”
The Senior Vice President of Operations will have a significant undertaking in 2020. Pocket Nurse saw its greatest success in 2018 under the direction of current Senior Vice President William Evanson, CPIM, CIRM, CSSBB. So far, 2019 is on track to advance the business’s goals once again.
Bordenstein and Evanson will share the position until Evanson steps down at the end of the year.
