Since its release, the track has gained over 600,000 streams on Spotify, and its video has over 265,000 views on YouTube. Recently hitting the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 Indicator chart, “One Sided Love” shared chart space with superstars like Drake, Maroon 5, Post Malone, and Ariana Grande. The track also reached #2 on the Mediabase Top 40 Indie Label Report (alongside Janet Jackson, Tyga, Avril Lavigne and Cardi B), #53 on the Mediabase Top 40 Pop Chart, #31 on the Mediabase Top 40 Activator Chart and #37 on the BDS Top 40 Indicator chart.
“One Sided Love” has also made MkX a sensation at retail stores nationwide, with regular spins at Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Old Navy, Best Buy and Foot Locker, along with his self-remixed “Planet X Remix” earning additional exposure throughout the H&M chain. These in-store plays earned MkX the coveted #1 spot on the What’s In Store Music Currents chart, with an average of over 61,000 spins per week nationwide.
The multi-talented singer, songwriter and performer has now expanded his impact to several Asian markets, thanks to producing and co-writing (with pop singer Kim Petras) “Young & Wild,” a massive hit for K-Pop girl group sensation TWICE. The EP the song appears on, YES or YES, hit #1 in Korea and Japan and is currently at #7 on the Billboard World chart.
Broadening his media profile, MkX recently launched "Thru the Lens,” a web series of short lifestyle oriented videos that invites fans into his creative world and day to day life. Included are clips of the artist behind the scenes, breaking down his sessions and the production process – the ultimate insider’s view. “I started to get feedback that I seemed too manufactured, like I was created by a team or a label. I wanted to show people that it’s all me. I create all of the music, the videos, the content, the show, the clothing everything. Nobody is telling me what to do.”

He often describes his sound as “feel-good” music, designed to uplift the spirit and “put a Band-Aid on any temporary or long lasting pain.”
Before emerging as a solo artist, MkX was on tour with Ariana Grande after hitting the road in the past with artists such as Christina Perri and Rixton. He has been a popular live performer since the age of 11. Over the past few years, he has balanced his public career with his studies at Berklee College of Music.
MkX laid the foundation for his breakthrough single “One Sided Love” with his two previous releases. His r&b/pop track “The Look” currently has over half a million streams on Spotify. His haunting trap-inspired follow-up “Ghost,” is now at over 400,000, after being featured in Huffington Post on Halloween.
In 2019, MkX plans to tour his self-created live show featuring his current discography along with soon-to-be released new music.
