PowerSchool Group’s InfoSnap Online Registration Provides a Flexible Platform for Decatur Public School District to Collect and Manage Student Data
Folsom, CA (PRWEB) February 25, 2016 -- PowerSchool Group’s InfoSnap Online Registration is providing Alabama’s Decatur City School District with an intuitive solution for new and annual student registration. The streamlined process will improve business processes for administrative staff and increase parent satisfaction. Seamless integration between the InfoSnap solution and Decatur’s student information system (SIS), InformationNOW, will result in accurate data by the first day of school.

The electronic format allows families who have more than one child in the district to ‘snap’ data from one student to another. SmartForm™ technology, an intuitive tool built into the solution, collects relevant data based on previously entered information or choices (grade, activities, medical history, etc.). The data submitted by families is reviewed, polished, and formatted to meet district policies and then delivered into InformationNOW, resulting in up-to-date records on the first day of school.
Decatur City School District is comprised of 8600 students and 17 schools, which weren’t cohesively managing standard registration the same. “We weren’t aware of all the inconsistencies from school to school. We’re streamlining that process by implementing a comprehensive and innovative online solution,” notes Rains.
Prior to selecting the InfoSnap online registration solution, Decatur City School District staff reached out to several local districts that use the same product. “The InfoSnap solution was highly recommended by our peers who complimented the platform and the customer service provided,” said Rains. The district will also utilize the Language Localization feature to meet the needs of its diverse population by providing multilingual forms to families in English and Spanish. The online solution will launch on April 27, 2016, for Pre-K and Kindergarten programs.
