ProVest Insurance Group Inaugurates Community Program in South Florida With First Official Campaign ‘Stroller for Jackie’
Miami, FL (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- ProVest Insurance Group in collaboration with Our Kids, a nonprofit organization that delivers excellence to abused, abandoned and neglected children and their families in Miami Dade and Monroe counties, announced its ‘Stroller for Jackie’ campaign, the first initiative of an ongoing program to aid the South Florida community.
Every 30-60 days, the group will encourage a new cause surrounding the South Florida community. Each cause will be promoted and supported also by ProVest Insurance Group’s monthly publication, Our Hometown magazine.
With a smile said to brighten the room, Jackie, a radiant two-year-old girl, was born alcohol exposed and diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome, making it difficult to play outside and interact with others, as she is currently unable to walk.
Specialists and family members attest that Jackie’s quality of life can be improved with the help of a special pediatric wheelchair/stroller designed to support her upper body, which is underdeveloped due to her medical conditions.
Through Indiegogo, 'the world’s funding platform', ProVest Insurance Group and Our Kids have made it possible for supporters to contribute to Jackie’s cause, with donations starting at just $1, and going directly toward a new stroller for Jackie. Although the basic pediatric wheelchair model currently retails at $700, if the total raised amount is exceeded, the organizations will purchase Jackie an even better equipped unit, recommended by her doctor - The Cruiser Stroller Chair, retailing at $1,688.

Minerve Rodriguez, Jackie’s maternal grandmother and current relative foster caregiver, plans to adopt her granddaughter on National Adoption Day on November 23, and officially provide her with a stable, loving home.
