X Wine, Sicilian Wine Talents, kicks off a new US tour dedicated to wine and food professionals.
The tour starts on Monday. It’s comprised of two East Coast events with seminars, wine tastings and presentations by the group of six Sicilian wine estates. X Wine brings the character of a wonderful land, the passion of its people, their talents and wines to the New World. Boston will host the first one. The event in Boston will be held at the Salvatore’s Restaurant, and is dedicated to food and wine professionals, including importers, distributors, educators, sommeliers, restaurateurs, brokers, buyers, wine collectors and gastronomy gurus. From there the group will head to New York, on Thursday, October 4, 2012.

Starting from 2012 harvest, there will be two new denomination of quality: DOC Sicilia and Terre Siciliane IGT instead of Scilia IGT. These meetings will provide an opportunity to experience and appreciate the new face of Sicilian wine.
