Since 2001, the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by Synnex Corp has raised $9.98 million for more than 150 charities. The event was such a success at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, that the tournament is coming back to this award winning Western South Carolina lake community in May of 2014. Next year's event will include play at the Thornblade Club and Green Valley Country Club.
Dubbed one of the best golf courses in South Carolina, The Reserve at Lake Keowee wined and dined visitors and celebrities of this infamous event spotlighting this gated Lake Keowee real estate development. Club members were eager to help! Golfers had a chance to participate in the impressive charity event enjoying the rolling hills and picturesque lake views in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
This year, the “great weather and great crowd” attracted 51,500 people sponsed by BMW Charity Pro-AM presented by Synnex Corp. Some of the celebrity participants included: Joe Don Rooney from Rascal Flatts, Andy Buckley from The Office, Paula Trickey from Pacific Blue, Kirk Muller the Coach of the Carolina Hurricanes, Jeffrey Donovan from Burn Notice, Kurt Russell, Gary Valentine from King of Queens, and many more.
Many of these celebrities have participated in the Annual BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by Synnex Corp event before for fun and with an important purpose, to raise money through attendance and sponsorship to give back to local charities. The scenic views, amazing golfers and relaxing atmosphere provided just the right mix for another successful event.
