reitdesign nabs 4 wins from the 2018 Davey Awards for work on Javits Center, New York International Auto Show & Douglas Elliman
NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- New York based marketing design studio reitdesign inc. continued its winning streak, adding 1 GOLD & 3 SILVER 2018 Davey Awards to its roster for work on Javits Center's 2016-17 Annual Report, the New York International Auto Show's 2017 Annual Review and holiday promotions for Douglas Elliman's Stanton Hoch Team and reitdesign.
To date in its 23-year history, reitdesign has won 54 marketing & design awards for a wide range of projects and industries, underscoring the studio's facility to translate business needs into effective marketing strategies.
GOLD: reitdesign Holiday Promo "The Gift of Giving"
For its annual holiday promotion, reitdesign wanted to deliver a much-needed message of hope. Inspired by the theme "The Gift of Giving," we departed from the tradition of sending gifts to clients by putting some of our favorite NYC charities in the spotlight. The promotion was housed in an eye-catching "Gift of Giving" mailing tube that contained a tote bag; five sets of circular cards that featured gold metallic and raised UV pattern printing; five stylized enamel pins, each representing a specific category of charity; and a fold-out description sheet that explained the purpose of the promotion. The circular cards—held together by the custom-designed enamel pins—were imprinted with memorable, charity-related quotes; the other cards featured a description of the charity's mission, along with its mailing and website address. Taken together, this unique, timely promotion not only reinforced the holiday spirit of giving, it helped raise the profile of charities whose work is more vital than ever.
SILVER: Javits Center's 2016-2017 Annual Report
Every Javits Center Annual Report highlights its exhibiting capabilities and achievements throughout the year, as well as financial records and plans for the future. The 2017 edition was broken into six distinct sections focusing on Javits Center's achievements and initiatives. We designed an icon to represent each of these, and gave the chapters a color-coded treatment, breaking from Javits Center's traditional black and gold palette. The report was characterized by stunning images of the photogenic space, as well as large quotes and impressive statistics highlighting Javits Center's efforts and impact, in terms of efficiency, sustainability and the city's economy.
SILVER: New York International Auto Show's 2017 Review
As the country's oldest and most prestigious car tradeshow, the New York International Auto Show's marketing materials must reflect the glamour, style and innovation that sets this event apart. The Annual Review is an essential tool used to illustrate to manufacturers the value of exhibiting at The Show and highlight the key take aways and wins from that week. After the success of our award-winning 2016 Annual Review, this year's Review pushed the envelope using unique print methods such as a spot varnish front cover (incorporating artwork modified from the show poster) and opening to a gatefold spread. Inside, the cover's red ribbon device was deployed across spreads to divide images from text. The main content of the report combined bold headlines, breathtaking photography with detailed statistics explaining every facet of the show's appeal, influence and impact.
SILVER: Douglas Elliman's Stanton Hoch Team Thanksgiving Promotion
To help Stanton Hoch express their gratitude to clients for giving them a banner year, reitdesign developed a festive Thanksgiving Promo that included 7 to-go containers designed to hold leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner. In addition to the handy containers, the promo package included labels on the wraparound sleeve and container lids that were imprinted with fun facts about the holiday ("No Forks at the First Thanksgiving," "Don't Blame Turkey for the 'Food Coma,'" and more). Intermingled with the Turkey Day trivia were eye-opening statistics and surprising facts about Stanton Hoch. A separate, Stanton Hoch-branded notecard featured a special Thanksgiving message to clients, tying the promotion together to keep Stanton Hoch's name in front of existing and prospective clients during the holidays, and beyond.
