After an impressive showing last year, clients of SEO.com continue to secure spots on the prestigious Inc. 5000, a list that recognizes some of the fastest growing companies in the United States.
This year, SEO.com placed No. 491 as a handful of the Internet marketing firm’s rapidly growing customers also made the list. The companies include: Certiport, Phone.com and Spillman Technologies.
Coming in at No. 3,863 on this year’s list, Spillman Technologies has earned spots on the Inc. 5000 every year since 2007.
A spokeswoman for Spillman Technologies praised SEO.com for helping the business drive growth online.
“As we grow as a company, we’ve seen the need to invest in our online presence. SEO.com has been an asset in beefing up that presence,” said Sarah Huizingh, marketing manager for Spillman. “Since starting our search engine optimization efforts with SEO.com, we’ve seen a 93 percent increase in the number of visits to our site as a result of search engines. The increased visitors to our site fuel more leads, which fuel more sales, which continue to fuel our growth and stability as a company.”
SEO.com specializes in using search engine optimization to improve where websites rank in Google and Bing.com, which helps companies by driving traffic to their sites and more visibility to their brands.
“Our primary services include organic SEO, local optimization, Web analytics and content marketing,” SEO.com President Ash Buckles explained.
Spillman Technologies, which designs specialized computer software for public safety agencies, employs about 245 people. Spillman earned about $35 million in revenue in 2011.
Meanwhile, the SEO.com customer that ranked the highest on Inc. magazine’s 2012 list was Phone.com, a cloud-based telephone company specializing in voice-over-Internet-protocol technologies for the home and office. The firm did about $5.3 million in revenue in 2011. With a staff of roughly 25 employees, Phone.com ranked No. 262 on the Inc. 5000.
Phone.com CEO Ari Rabban explained that the marketplace for phone services is very competitive.
Finally, when the results were announced in August, Certiport was another SEO.com customer that had made the 2012 Inc. 5000. With about 165 employees and more than $48 million in revenue last year, Certiport came it at No. 2,502. The company develops certification exams and practice tests for schools and businesses.
Each year the Inc. 5000 recognizes some of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States.
